Lewes Primary School is proud to share that Spanish immersion teacher Verónica DeBartolo is collaborating on a unique project, lending her voice and expertise to an exciting new bilingual music initiative for children. The project is designed to foster language development, storytelling, and cultural connection.
Ms. DeBartolo is the lead vocalist for an expanding project called Mairim Enchanted Songs, which produces educational and recreational bilingual songs for children. While the original songs are written and performed in Spanish, she records the English versions, helping the project reach a wider audience and ensuring that both bilingual and English-speaking students can enjoy and learn from the music.
“Being part of Mairim has been incredibly rewarding for me,” said DeBartolo. "The goal is to offer children songs that spark their curiosity, expand their vocabulary, and tell real stories, while celebrating both English and Spanish. I am grateful for the opportunity to help create these resources that support bilingual students and bring the joy of language to even more families."
